Responsibilities:
Performs facility inspections to identify deficiencies; performs building checks to assess potential problems or needed repairs
Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement
Performs routine repair, modification and preventative maintenance tasks on buildings, facilities equipment, fixtures and systems
Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains
Conducts emergency repairs when necessary
Performs preventive building maintenance duties
Ensure proper care, maintenance and storage of all business owned tools, and other equipment used in the course of duties
Skills:
Electrical controls schematics. Proximity and infrared type sensors. Servo drives and motors. Pneumatic, mechanical and electric linear X Y Z axis. PLC communication. Solid state and electrical mechanical relays. AC and DC motors. VFD (variable frequency drives)
Mechanical drawings. Chains and sprockets. Belts and pulleys. Timing. Bearings and gearing
Pneumatic schematics. Air compressor. Valves and controllers
Heating and cooling processes steam including boilers. Chilled water including Process Chillers
Electrical heaters. Controllers. Sensors including RTD and thermocouple
Facility related issues Building structure. Plumbing. Grounds
Troubleshooting label and wrapping equipment is a plus. Training will be available if there is no experience
Troubleshooting Hydraulic issues is a plus
Troubleshooting Process Chillers including closed loop systems is a plus
Experience:
Prior experience working in the maintenance field
General knowledge of basic construction methods, e.G. Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc
Must have great problem solving and communication skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced, highly flexible environment
Must be physically able to handle lifting weights up to 50 lbs
