Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in the Non-Destructive Examination Department with minimal supervision. Assist operators in processes such as airflow testing, moment weigh and balance operation, NDE component preparation, part loading, unloading, routing, marking operations, and verification inspections in order to ensure customer requirements. In skill level I, the primary purpose is to accomplish NDE inspection (ex.: visual and dimensional) on products, record and document operational and inspection results, and verify compliance with all Integrated Management Systems and customer requirements. Unless otherwise stated, each employee is responsible for their own work as well as the responsibility of safety for themselves and their co-workers. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Perform a variety of duties in the Non-Destructive Examination Department o Assist in loading components onto fixtures for processing. o Loading, unloading, and routing components prior to inspection, repair or coating. o Operate Airflow and/or moment weigh equipment. o Transport components to various workstations within the department and facility. o Assist in performing preventative maintenance of department equipment including maintaining records and logs. o Assist in performing minor adjustments and repairs to various department equipment, tools, and machines. o Retrieve and return tools and fixtures that are used for processing components. o Able to enter computer data in Microsoft Excel and Word used to verify specifications. o Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Experience/Prerequisites: Entry-level position, requires proficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, and Word. Competency Expectations: Demonstrate competency within six (6) weeks to: • Assist in loading components onto fixtures for processing/inspection. • Transport components to various workstations within the department. • Able to perform basic Level I functions such as prepping parts for NDE/Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection. • Must provide proficiency in measuring parts for dimensional tolerance using fixtures and measuring tools Physical Demand: Light/Moderate Working Conditions/Hazards: Standard
